The development of cast iron products
Doesburg Components develops high-end castings for its customers. In this process, the special strength of the Gietburg Group is of great importance. The specific know-how within the group helps to develop the complete component. Next to expertise in machining, the Gietburg Group also possesses expertise in the casting process.
During the development of the castings, a great amount of time can be saved by involving us as Tier 1 supplier in the development of the product from the very start. Right after an in-depth discussion of the customer’s wishes we start the development process. This intensive cooperation helps us to make use of several sources of expertise and thus warrants an ideal end product. Already during the development phase we can anticipate how the end product might best go into serial production.
Merging the development and production phase leads to smaller margins of error, a more substantial testing phase at the customer’s site and a faster delivery of the component.
Designing by means of in-house 3 CAD-, CAM-, and casting simulation software accompanies the path of development. 3D scanning product control enables us to quickly and efficiently deliver the product, including PPAP documentation.
